ComputerWorld is telling us that Windows 7 may launch – as a shipping product – as soon as a late August-to-late September time frame.
Windows 7 is moving at a furious pace, and the latest betas and the Release Candidate we have seen look good.
My thinking is that this will be huge for Microsoft. They maybe – just maybe – have learned from the “force feed” launch of an unready Vista. (Actually, Vista itself was probably ready but the related market, such as peripheral drivers and hardware with the necessary horsepower, was clearly not ready).
