The Detroit Free Press had an article in the May 5 edition about the latest state auction for mineral rights that brought in more millions of $$ than anyone expected. Could be good for the Northern Michigan economy?

A well in northern Missaukee County was what brought on most of the excitement, apparently.

I think everyone up here would love to see another oil and gas “boom”. Lots of jobs and economic activity that puts smiles on lots of faces!
