About Us

Founded in 1990, Terrapin Networks is a technology services provider serving the northwest lower peninsula of Michigan from offices in Traverse City, Michigan.

Our primary offering is in what is known as “outsource IT”, where our firm is hired to perform information technology (IT) support and services for organizations that do not have an internal IT department.

In this capacity we have provided IT department services and support for businesses, non-profits, and municipalities throughout northern Michigan. To our customers we bring a high level of technical expertise; improved productivity for their staff through efficient use of technology; and significant and measurable cost savings to strained budgets.

Additionally, we offer a full suite of what are known as “Managed Services”. These include remote network monitoring, a hosted spam protection service, hosted Exchange email service, and secure online backup. Find a full description of our services here.

Managed Services are an extremely effective way to handle IT support, as many issues with the IT system are discovered and rectified before they become a problem for users. Managed Services also improve our ability to do work remotely, where we fix many network and user problems without needing a service call.

The Terrapin Networks Tech Team is staffed with experienced, career IT support engineers. The team has over 60 years of experience in the technology field and many network and upper level certifications and degrees. We really do take this stuff seriously.

From our new offices (November 2009) on Cass Road in Traverse City, Michigan we serve customers in Traverse City, Cadillac, Manistee, Ludington, Petoskey, Gaylord, and most all the towns in between.
