OK, we’re safe - for at least the next 3 years. NASA says so.

Good news - or not so good news, depending on your point of view relative to these things - the world will not end on December 21, 2012, as (allegedly) predicted by the Mayan  calendar. So says NASA, at least, and I guess they would know about these asteroid things.

Study: 88% of corporate PCs sport minimum Windows 7 hardware

Windows 7 will be released tomorrow, Thursday, October 22. Can your workstation run Windows 7?
